The 75th annual meeting of the Louisiana State Medical Society will open at The Roosevelt May 2.
Speaker at the opening of the three-day conference will be Dr. J, F, L, Blasingame, Wharton, Tex,, president of the Texas State Medical Assn. and trustee of the American Medical Assn, * * *
DR. BLASINGAME'S topic will be "Big Government and Some of Its Effects on the private Practice of Medicine."
Prior to the official opening of the convention at 8 p. m., May 2, the house of delegates of the society will meet in the Grand Ball Room from 8:30 a. m. until 2 p. m.
The women's auxiliary of the state society will meet in conjunction with the LSMS, also at The Roosevelt.
The outstanding general practitioner for 1954 will be recognized during a special part of the first evening's program.
The society also will honor a group of doctors in practice for 50 years.
