Presentation of awards to past presidents of the New Orleans Graduate Medical Assembly will high light the opening session of the 18th annual meeting of the assembly Monday, at Municipal Auditorium.
The awards will be presented by Dr. J. Kelly Stone. The ceremony will follow talks of welcome, to be given at the initial session, scheduled to get under way at 9:30 a. m. Dr. Woodward D. Beacham, assembly president, will preside.
Delegates will be welcomed by Mayor deLesseps S. Morrison, Dr. Walter Moss, Lake Charles, president of the Louisiana State Medical Society; Dr. Edgar Hull, president of the Orleans Parish Medical Society; Dr. Maxwell E. Lap-ham, dean of the Tulane university school of medicine and Dr. William W. Frye, dean of the Louisiana State Medical Society; Dr. Edgar Hull, president of the Orleans Parish Medical Society; Dr. Maxwell E. Lapham, dean of the Tulane university school of medicine and Dr. William W. Frye, dean of the Louisiana State university school of medicine.
Outstanding specialists in the varied fields of medicine will be guest speakers during the convention, scheduled to last through Thursday. Technical and scientific exhibits will add to the interest of convention sessions, as will varied departmental luncheons.
