The librarian was depicted as a vital, profitable link for all kinds of business organizations Thursday by Miss Gretchen D. Little, president of the Special Libraries Association of America,-whose executive officers are meeting at the Jung hotel.
Miss Little, librarian for the Atlas Powder Company, Wilmington, Del., said more organizations should have libraries and librari-ans. She described the librarian as the link between the executive who needs vital information immediately and the information itself.
She termed the position of professional librarian as an attractive career, with starting salaries generally hovering "around $4200 and up."
