And now they've come up with a "television allergy."
That's what some doctors call it, because it's brought about as a result of people crowding together into a fairly small, fairly closed-up room to watch a TV program. "It doesn't mean you're allergic to the television set prop-er," explained Dr. Homer E. Prince, Houston, Tex., president of the American Academy of Allergy, "It means you're allergic to the dust in the television room."
"Not so long ago a group of kids developed allergies which absolutely refused to clear up until the TV room was given a thorough cleaning," added the physician, a featured speaker Monday at the 15th annual meeting of the Southwest Allergy Forum at the Roosevelt hotel.
