Dr. Albert E. Casey, Native, Returns to Accept Post at L. S. U -- Announcement is made by Dr. Rigney D'Aunoy, dean of the school of medicine of Louisiana State university, of the appointment of Dr. Albert E. Casey, as assistant professor in the department of pathology and bacteriology. Dr. Casey was born in New Orleans, graduated maxima cum laude from Spring Hill college in 1922 and received his M. D. degree from St. Louis university, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, honorary medical fraternity. In 1927 he accepted an appointment in the Rockefeller Institute as an assistant in pathology and bacteriology becoming an associate in this institute for the years 1932 to 1934. While at the institute Dr. Casey did much work in syphillis, yaws, virus diseases and transplanted tumors.
