The district attorney's office today turned over to defense attorneys
the medical reports it intends to use during the trial of James L. Cooper for the murder of his socialite wife, "Diddie" Woolfolk Cooper.
The reports were attached in an answer submitted by the state to a motion filed last week in criminal district court by defense attorneys.
The motion sought information pertaining to the contents of medical, chemical and pathological reports the state will rely upon to show the cause of Mrs. Cooper's death.
In the answer filed by executive assistant district attorney Edward L. Haggerty Jr. today, the final diagnosis of death, prepared by Dr. S. H. Durlacher, and the coroner's toxicologist's report on the contents of the blood stream of the victim were offered to defense attorneys.
