Commissions in the naval reserve were awarded here Friday to four doctors, two dentists, a nurse and a chaplain.
The following were commissioned as lieutenants, junior grade, in the medical corps: Donald F. Barraza, 116 N. Hennessy, and Cercy D, Francis, Route No. 4, Hayne blvd.; Jerry A. Fortenberry, Columbia, Miss., and Lawrence M. King, Olla, La. Commissions as lieutenants, junior grade, in the dental corps, were given to Miles F. Guichet, Baton Rouge, and Jules J. D. Hebert, Lake Charles. Com missioned as a lieutenant, junior grade, in the chaplain corps was Thomas G. Hawkins, West Lake, La., while Miss Margaret Anne Whitney, 2725 Napoleon ave., was commissioned ail ensign in the nurse corps.
