The Woman's Auxiliary of the Orleans" Parish Medical Society observed "Doctors Day" with a reception Tuesday night at the Orleans Club.
Twin high lights" were a musical program and, acts presented by New Orleans physicians and the presentation by the auxiliary of a $250 check to the American Medical Education Foundation.
The check, presented by Mrs. Philips Carter, chairman of the day's observance, to Dr. Sam Hob-son, society president, Will be sent to the foundation for reallocation to the Tulane and Louisiana State universities medical schools.
Dr. Maxwell E. Lapham, dean of the Tulane medical school, and Dr. William W. Frye, dean of the LSU medical school, were on hand for the presentation.
