Dr. Rowena Spencer of Charity hospital Is going to Sweden for a year in a Stockholm hospital, some time next fall. Meanwhile her Swedish vocabulary is nil, and she wants to learn the language.
"I am advertising at WAlnut 5178 to buy a set of Linguaphone records in Swedish and also a 78-rpm record player," Dr. Spencer said. "There are 16 records in the Swedish set and I can buy them new but would rather save money on a second-hand album. Once you learn to speak Swedish you have no further use for the Linguaphone, so I imagine a lot of people have left-over ones laying around the house."
The Ronstorms at your Want-Ad Reporter's house always say "Toks arnica" for "Thanks" or "Thank you very much," but other than that we couldn't help out Dr. Spencer's Swedish vocabulary, even though we've eaten all the osts, vorsts, frutsuppas and lingen-berries that smorgasbords ever have.
