Dr. Hugh T. Beacham last night took over the office of president of the Hotel Dieu medical staff, succeeding Dr. ftuth Aleman, first woman president of the staff.
Dr. Beacham and other newly elected officers were installed at the group's annual banquet at the hospital.
Other officers installed included Dr. L. Sidney Charbonnet Jr., vice-president, and Dr. Nick Accardo, secretary-treasurer.
Dr. Aleman was presented with a certificate and a silver gavel as a tribute to her year in office.
Members of the new executive committee are Drs. Philip A. Bou-dreaux, Henry M. Duhe, George M. Haik, Ralph M, Hartwell, Louis Leggio, Mar fin O. Miller, Frank G.
