Tried Method of Rest Held Advisable by Speakers to Society -- Doctors were urged not to rely on any single procedure in diagnosing tuberculosis and to treat it with the tried method of rest, at a meeting Monday night of the Orleans Parish Medical Society at Hutchinson Memorial building.
The speakers were Dr. John H. Hawes, director of the Rutland Sanatorium, Boston, Mass., and Dr. Fred H. Heise, medical director of the Trudeau Sanitorium at Saranac, N. Y. They are in New Orleans participating in a seven-day series of lectures and clinic demonstrations which opened Monday at the Tu-lane university graduate school of medicine in the Hutchinson building. Their talks were sponsored by the medical society and the Tuberculosis and Public Health Association of Louisiana.
