Completed plans for "Governor Kennon Day" at Louisiana State' university Sept. 20 were announced Saturday by Dr. Abe Mickal, president of the sponsoring LSU Alumni Federation.
The chief executive will be saluted in a ceremony between halves of the University of Texas-LSU football game at Baton Rouge. The LSU Tiger band, directed by L. Bruce Jones, and members of Scabbard and Blade, campus honorary military organization, will lead an opening parade, with Gov. and Mrs. Kennon and Maj. Gen. .Raymond H. Fleming, state adjutant-general, at its head.
The governor will be met by members of the Alumni council representing the various colleges of the university, and by represent atives from the congressional districts. Following the firing of a 19-gun salute, Dr. Mickal will ex-tend the federation's official greetings to Gov. Kennon, himself an alumnus of LSU.
