The first of the medical meetings to be held here this week came yesterday when the Southern Pathologists convened in the library of Louisiana State university medical center. The conference was concluded last night at a dinner in Galatoire's restaurant. Dr. Rigney D'Aunoy, dean of the medical school, presided.
Dr. Harvey S. Thatcher, Little Rock, Ark., professor of pathology in the University of Arkansas school of medicine, struck at "the pernicious solicitation of patients" by hospitals, declaring it is contrary to the ethics of the profession.
