Monday, March 31, will be a big day for the Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
Bids on the $2,500,000 annex and remodeling project will be opened at 11 a.m. at the Medical school in New Orleans. Eight firms are expected to enter bids, according to August Perez of Perez and Associates, New Orleans, architects. Awarding the contract will be the second step toward the goal established in 1949. At that time it was decided to increase student enrollment, with the promise of added building facilities to carry the load. The medical school annex was provided for in a 1950 legislative appropriation.
