Color television demonstrations of six surgical procedures and 17 clinical presentations will highlight the 15th annual meeting of the New Orleans Graduate Medical Assembly which opens here Monday.
The television broadcasts will be carried directly to the Municipal Auditorium by coaxial cable from Charity Hospital.
The telecasts will be directed and sponsored by Smith, Kline and French Laboratories of Philadelphia. This is the second year the assembly has used television as a medical teaching medium.
Arrangements for the demonstrations have been made by the committee: on television of the assembly, headed by Dr. C. Richard Walters. Assisting him have been Dr. Gordon McHardy and Dr.
Homer J. Dupuy, chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of medical clinics, and Dr. James D. Rives and Dr. Howard Mahorner, chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of surgical clinics.
