Surgery may now repair faulty or inflamed heart valves, a New Orleans physician told the Louisiana chapter of the American College of Surgeons in meeting here.
Dr. W. J. Burdette, speaking at a program at Charity Hospital auditorium, said that such heart sur-gery is used in cases where the heart has been scarred by rheumatic fever.
