Dr. Howard Mahorner, New Orleans, was elected president of the newly created Louisiana state branch of the American College of Surgeons at an organizational meeting Tuesday at the Roosevelt hotel.

The organizational meeting participated in by members of the American College of Surgeons residing in Louisiana, was called during the 71st annual meeting of the Louisiana State Medical Society, now in session at the Roosevelt hotel.
