Amendment of the federal constitution to ward off "government by treaty" was urged by William H, Fitzpatrick, editor of the New Orleans States, at an installation banquet for new officers of the
Orleans Parish Medical Society.
Fitzpatrick spoke at the Roose-velt hotel last night, where Dr. Boni J. DeLaureal was installed as president of the society and Dr. N. J. Tessitore was seated as president-elect, to take office in 1952, Dr. C. J. Brown is outgoing president...Other officers installed were Dr. Sam Hobson, first vice-president; Dr. John J. Irwin, second vice-president; Dr. Howard Mahorner,
.third vice-president; Dr. Charles B. Odom, secretary; Dr. J. O. Weilbacher Jr., treasurer, Dr. Eugene H. Countiss, librarian; and Dr. E. L. Leckert and Dr. Felix Planche, additional members of the board.
Seventen members were named delegates to the Louisiana State Medical Society. They are Drs. C. J. Brown, W. P. Gardiner, Robert Gillaspie, Peter Graf f agnino, Max M. Green, George Hauser, A. N. Houston, P. H. Jones, How-ard Karr, Jerome Landry, Mor-gan Lyons, Waldemar Metz,-Dan-iel J. Murphy, Charles B. Odom, Robert F. Sharp, N. J. Tessitore, and Eugene B. Vickery.
