| Facilitator Log | 01:57 Michelle always wanted to be in the military for as long as she can remember. 04:53 Michelle grew up poor in a rural community in Louisiana. Even though indoor plumbing was common in the Eighties when she grew up, her family still did not have an indoor bathroom. Growing up and having to do without has made her want to provide more for her sons. 08:32 Michelle did not like school until she got to middle school and high school. 12:48 Michelle sees herself as a fighter and she feels that she gets that spirit from her mother Victoria and her grandmother Maddie. 14:05 Michelle gave birth to her first son Shayne in August, 20, 1995. 16:42 Michelle gave birth to Tre on January 28, 1999 when she was stationed at Fort Stewart in Georgia. 18:53 Michelle says that her basic training in the military gave her the willingness to complete anything she started and that she has used that in her parenting as well. |
