| Facilitator Log | 5:56: I wanted to be a lawyer because no matter how much you care about social justice, there's only so much you can do without altering the system itself. 19:40: About 7,000 prisoners evacuated well after the storm. All files were flooded - didn't know who was who and nobody tried to figure out who had served time, etc. 33:14: They had shut off prison phones on Friday before the storm because too many family members were calling. 34:00: The state of this advocacy now, 8 months later - people don't have lawyers. |
