They made each others acquaintance when they were both on the Angola Ferry on their way to visit their mothers. 03:19 They have been married for 17 years. 04:16 Ronnie works as a Board Major. He supervises the arrival of new offenders to Angola. 16:04 Wanda was one of the first women hired at Angola to go down the walk. She was a sheriff before being hired to go down the walk in lock down. Her first night she 64 convicts to supervise. She says she the convicts taught her a lot of what she had to do. 21:21 Wanda says that she thought the inmates were animals but has grown to understand their humanity. 29:09 Wanda and Ronnie say that being married to someone in the same line of work is helpful. They each understand the stresses and challenges of working at Angola. |
