| Facilitator Log | 1:08 Edrick's relationship to God is very important to him. When he was in a jail cell in 1984, his grandmother was on her deathbed and continued to remind Edrick about his relationship with God. 4:49 When Kerry's oldest son was born, his grandmother was hospitalized. She died hours after the christening, which Kerry took as a sign of his grandmother's special relationship with God (his grandmother had asked what time was the christening - Kerry thinks she did not want to do anything to interfere with the christening so she timed her death to occur after it was over.) 17:00 Kerry remembers his first day at Angola: 'It was a very strange day' filled with fear 19:00 Kerry describes his work at Angola as 'fortuitous.' He only worked on the farm for 30 days and then his skills were needed in the print shop. He is now editor of the prison newspaper, The Angolite. 22:10 'It was like the road had no end,' is how Edrick describes his arrival at Angola. 32:44 'I would live under a bridge tomorrow rather than spend another night here.' -- Kerry |
