| Title | An introduction to cognitive theories |

| Abstract/Introduction | What I propose to do in this paper is provide two sets of criteria, the broad set and the narrow set, that can be used to evaluate prospective cognitive theories. The cognitive theories to which these criteria are designed to be applied share several major assumptions, including intentional realism and representational realism. However, there is often a broad difference in what these theories seem to be claiming, and such a difference can make comparing competing theories difficult. |
