Medical School students at Louisiana
State University Medical School at
Shreveport can study or sponsor parties
at the new student center at the
Linwood Apartment complex, which is
owned by the school. An apartment
building at the complex was renovated
at a cost of $30,000." Thefocal point of
the main area is the winding staircase
which leads to a second floor balcony.

Is Spanish-Mediterranean
Spanish and Mediterranean
furniture in a French chateau
setting is the theme for the
newly opened student center for
Louisiana State University Medi-cal
School at' Shreveport stu-dents.
One apartment building at the
school-owned Linwood apartment
complex was renovated at a cost
of $30,000 for the center, accord-ing
to Robert Graves, business
manager.
Most of the 32 first-year
students are living at the com-pex
and most of next year's
students are expected to live
there.
The center includes one main
room on the first floor, which is
divided into several sitting areas.
The focal point of the room is
the winding staricase which goes
to the second floor loft. The loft
is exposed and overlooks the
main sitting area.
There are individual sluclv
rooms on both levels and a
kitchen.
The color scheme of the center
is gold and black.
A gold carpet is used through-out
and the chairs and sofas are
in dark wood with black leather
upholstery.
Touches of orange and green
accents are used in flowers,
vases and ashtrays throughout
the facility.
A low chest is used in the main
sitting area and is complemented
by a large mirror bordered in
gold. A bronze soldier and a
picture of a bulldighter are also
used in the large room.
Black and white print curtains,
centered with white are used at
the windows.
Tones of gold are used in the
kitchen.
The ceiling is black and
features both recessed lights and|
hanging light fixtures.
