by virtue of the alphabetical pre-sentation
of degrees in the first grad-uating

LSU-S Med School
Graduates First Class
Thirty-one students received
their degrees in the first
gradlating exercises of the
(Louisiana S t a t e University
Medical School at Shreveport
Saturday.
The first student to receive
his degree in the alphabetical
presentation was Dr. Frank P.
Brinkman III of Tyler, Tex.,
who will serve a surgical
i n t e r n s h i p with the U.S.
Army, Madigan, Wise, Gener-al
Hospital as a captain. He
also r e c e i v e d the Upjohn
Award for excellent academic
standing with overall compe-tency
in his medical perform-lance.
H. Rojas of Lake Charles. The
Gauthiers, who married just
before e n t e r i n g medical
school four years ago, will
take a three-year residency in
family practice medicine at
St. Elizabeth's Medical Center
in Dayton, Ohio.
