Reports on
Conference
Dr. Edgar Hull, dean of the
Louisiana State University Medi-cal
School at Shreveport, report-ed
this week on his participation
in the National Conference on
Regional Medical Programs to
the Dean's Advisory Committee
of the Medical School.
Dr. Hull was one of 500 people
from across the United States
attending the sessions.
The program was set up by
Congress and is designed to
improve treatment of cancer,
heart, stroke and related dis-eases.
Various regions are establish-ling
programs to evaluate and
discuss treatment of the dis-eases.
According to Dr. Hull there
were representatives of medical
s o c i e t i e s , deans of medical
schools and members of state
boards of health at the meeting
which featured panels, special
speakers and group discussions.
