Pathologist to address
nurses association

Times Medical Writer
Mary Beth Warren, speech and
language pathologist with the Mollie
Webb Speech and Hearing Center,
will speak before the Shreveport
District Nurses Association Thurs-day.
The nurses will meet at 7:30 p.m.
at Schumpert Medical Center.
Mrs. Warren will discuss services
for children and adults with com-munications
disorders.
She has been associated with the
•speech center since 1974. Among her
credentials is certification by the
American Speech and Hearing As-sociation.

Dr. Charles L. Black Jr., surgeon,
has been elected president of the
Physicians and
S u r g e o n s
H o s p i t a l
medical staff
for 1981, suc-ceeding
Dr.
J a c k S .
Resneck.
Serving with
him are Dr.
W.T. Hall, vice
president, and
Dr. George L. Risinger, secretary.
New department officers are:
Medicine — Dr. Clarence R.
Teagle, chief; Dr. Stephen
Youngberg, vice chief; and Dr.
Donald G. Mack, secretary.
Surgery — Dr. Jeffrey E. Faludi,
chief; Dr. Robert L. Barrett, vice
chief; and Dr. Robert S. Thornton,
secretary.
Obstetrics and gynecology — Dr.
Charles J. Stamper, chief; Dr.
Robert A. Tucker, vice chief; and Dr.
David T. Henry, secretary.
Black was born and - reared" in
Shreveport and received his medical-degree
from LSU Medical School in
New Orleans in 1971. He did both his
internship and residency at Con-federate
Memorial, now LSU
Medical Center in Shreveport.
