BATON ROUGE - The
state will decide later this
week who will get the
multimillion dollar contract
for renovations of
Shreveport's Confederate
Memorial Medical Center.
The Division of Facilities
Planning and Control opened
Tuesday four bids submitted
on the project, for which $6
million was dedicated in the
1974 legislative sessions.
Bids were submitted on a
base project, with five
alternates which increase the
total project size.
The bills on the base project
were:
• Mclnnis Brothers Inc.,
Minden, $3,718,800.
• Southern Builders Inc.,
Shreveport, $3,714,000.
• H. A. Lott Inc., Houston,
$3,832,000.
• J. Jr. McMichael
Construction Co., Inc.,
Shreveport, $3,881,000.
The Confederate project was
the only North Louisiana pro-ject
in the state's capital im-provements
program which
was scheduled for bid opening
Tuesday.
