Grants Announced
Shreveport and the LSU-S
School of Medicine were
awarded federal grants Tues-day,
according to announce-ments
by members of the
Louisiana Congressional dele-gation.
Sens. J. Bennett Johnston
and Russell B. Long and Rep.
Joe D. Waggonner announced
that Shreveport will receive
an additional $10,000 in com-prehensive
planning assist-ance
funds from tne Depart-ment
of Housing and Urban
Development.
The senators and Rep. F.
Edward Hebert announced a
$326,604 health professions
grant for the School of Medi-cine
from the Department of
health, Education and Wel-fare.
