Visiting Staff
Head Named
Dr. James H. Eddy Jr.,
Shreveport surgeon, will be
installed a s president of the
visiting staff at Confederate
Memorial Medical Center at a
staff meeting tonight.
Named president-elect was
Dr. H. Whitney Boggs Jr.
Other officers are Dr. Ray-mond
W. Turner, vice presi-dent;
Dr. Warren D. Grafton,
secretary; Dr. Samuel L. Lie-ber,
executive committee mem-ber-
at-large; Dr. Roy F. Brab-ham,
executive committee
member-at-large, and Dr. B. E.
Trichel, chiefs of staff repre-sentative
to the executive com-
.mittee.
Eddy was the 1972 recipient of
the Confederate Visiting Staff
Award given for "his devotion,
of time and service to the
activities of the visiting staff of
Confederate." At the time he
received the award, records
stowed that he had volunteered
more than 3,000 hours to the
staff.
He is past president of the
Shreveport Medical Society.
He has worked on the visiting
staff since 1942.
He was chairman of the
Nursing Service and Education
Committee that was instrumen-tal
in development of Confeder-

ate's diploma school of nursing,
now the associate degree nurs-ing
program.
