Community Council to Honor
Rasberry at Nov. 13 Meeting
W.C. Rasberry Sr. will be honored at the annual
meeting of the Community Council at noon Nov. 13
at the Convention Center.
Dr. Patti Van Hook and Congressman Joe D.
Waggoner Jr. are also scheduled to receive spe-cial
awards for their contributions to the com-munity.
Rasberry, who was named "Mr. Shreveport" in
1969, has been active in the Shreveport Chamber
of Commerce, the Caddo Parish School Board,
Holiday in Dixie and the Committee of 100.
Tickets for the luncheon are $6.25 per person
and may be obtained by calling 425-5528 or writing
P.O. Box 141, Shreveport, 71161.
