Are Chosen For
Army Program
Four LSU-Shreveport School
of Medicine seniors have been
chosen to participate in U.S.
Army's Senior Medical Pro-gram.
Dr. W. T. McElroy, associ-ate
dean in charge of student
affairs, who made the an-nouncement,
listed the stu-d
e n t s as Frank Pete
Brinkman, III, of Jackson
ville, Tex.; Michael D. Cox oi
Baton Rouge; James Michael
Geiger of Alexandria; and
Robert E. Harper of Ringgold.
Participants are selected in
nationwide competition on the
basis of past performance,
grades and recommendations
from the school. The students
will be paid as first lieuten-ants
in the Army during their
senior year in school.
