LSU Report
The Confederate M e m o r i a l
Medical Center Board of Direc-tors
last night announced low
bids for laundry equipment and
heard a report on the Louisiana
State University Medical School
at Shreveport.
Dr. Edgar Hull, dean of the
Shreveport Medical School, gave
a progress report on the school,
which will begin classes here in
September, 1969, at the Veterans
Administration H o s p i t a l . The
new medical school building will
be built on the grounds at
Confederate.
The board announced that the
State Purchasing Agency had
awarded a $70,000 bid for laun-dry
equipment to American
Laundry and Pellerin Laundry
Co.
In other action, the board
accepted the recommendation of
the hospital's medical staff in
appointing Dr. William Colbert
Durpee, anesthesiology with sen-ior
privileges.
