PLEASANT HILL — Dr. M.I
Prothro Day wili be observed
at the Pleasant Hill Battle
Park on April 9. The 10 a.m.
event is being sponsored by the
Pleasant Hill Lions Club.
The keynote speaker will be
Dr. Edgar Hull, assistant dean
of the Louisiana State Univer-sity
Medical School at New
Orleans. Dr. Hull was associat-ed
with Dr. Prothro when he
first came to Pleasant Hill in
1928.
Included on the program will
be a sermon by the Rev.
Bobby Lawton and a talk on
the history of the Battle of
Pleasant Hill by J. Frank
McAneny, staff photographer
for a Shreveport television
Istation.
April 9 is also the 103rd
anniversary of the Civil War
battle.
