Dr. Theodore Drapanas
Professor
From Tulane
To Talk Here
Dr. Theodore Drapanas, Hen-derson
Professor and chairman
of the Department of Surgery,
Tulane University School of
Medicine, will speak at Louisia-na
State University Medical
School at Shreveport Tuesday at
noon in the auditorium at
Confederate Memorial Medical
Center.
Dr. Frank Kurzweg, head of
the Department of Surgery at
the local medical school, said
the lecture is being sponsored
by the Southern Medical Asso-ciation
Lectureship Program.
"Interested physicians are in-vited
to attend the lecture,"
Kurzweg said.
Drapanas will speak on "Phy-siologic
and Clinical Considera-tions
in the D u m p i ng Syn-drome."
Drapanas has also taught at
the University of Buffalo and
the University of Pittsburgh
School of Medicine.
He was named "Outstanding
Educator of the Year" by the
Tulane University School of
Medicine and is editor of
"Surgery."
He is a Fellow of the
American College of Surgeons,
and has published numerous
articles in professional journals.
