NATIONAL, STATE AND LOCAL
medical officials participated in a series
of conferences at Louisiana State
University Medical School in Shreve-port
yesterday both at the Veterans
Administration Hospital and Confeder-ate
Memorial Medical Center where
classes will be held in September. Dr.
Edgar Hull (far left), dean of the local
school, chats with (left to right) Dr.
William Frye of New Orleans, chancel-
,lor of the LSU Medical Center; Dr.
Edgar Galloway, director of Confeder-ate,
and Dr. William H. Stewart, of
Washington, D.C., surgeon-general of

Frye plans to retire by the end of this
fiscal year and Dr. Stewart has been
