DR. ERICH K. LANG
Confederate
Names New
Radiologist
Dr. Erich K. Lang, radiologist
with the Methodist Hospital,
Indianapolis, Ind., has been
named head of the Department
of Radiology at Confederate
Memorial Medical Center, and
chairman of the Department of
Radiology at the Louisiana State
University School of Medicine at
Shreveport.
The joint announcement was
made by Dr. Edgar Galloway,
administrator for Confederate,
and Dr. Edgar Hull dean of the
LSU-Shreveport Medical School.
A native of Vienna Austria, Dr.
Lang was educated at Arbitur,
Columbia University and the
University of Vienna. He served
as .assistant resident in the
Research Residency of Radiology
at the University of Vienna; as
assistant resident and intern at
the Uniyersity of Iowa Hospital,
Iowa City, and as resident in
radiology at the Johns Hopkins
Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
He has also served as resident
in radiology and instructor in
radiology at Johns Hopkins Uni-versity.
He is a member of the
American Board of Radiology
and the Nuclear Medi#ine.
Dr. Lang served as a major in
the U.S. Army Reserve Medical
Corp.
He is a member of the Summa
Cum Laude Society of Veinnese
Gymnasiusm; and h o n o r a r y
member of the Maharashtra
State Radiological Society, Bom-bay,
India, which was conferred
in recognition of a lecture series
delivered under the joint aus-pices
of the Cardiologic Society
of India and the Maharashtra
S t a t e Radiologic Association,
Bombay; and is associate editor
of "Radiology," the Indiana
State Medical Journal.
He and his wife, the former
Nicoli Jane Miller, have one son,
Erich Christopher Lang, three
and a half.
