Scholarships to Be Awarded
Wide Variety of Events
Will Honor Dean Hull
Five awards, including two
endowments, will be announced
at the banquet honoring Dr.
Edgar Hull, dean of the Louis-iana
State University Medical
School at Shreveport Friday,
which is "Edgar Hull Day" in
Shreveport.
Two symposiums will be held
at Confederate Memorial Medi-cal
Center during the day and a
banquet will be held at the Civic
Theater Friday night.
The LeBlanc Family of St.
Gabriel Endowment for Cardiol-ogy
Award and the Lewis-
Gottlieb Scholar Endowment
will be presented at the ban-quet.
Also being given are the John
Clay Parker Portrait, presented
by Lewis Gottlieb of Baton
Rouge; the Leslie Stewart Me-neely
Portrait Bust which will
be presented by Dr. Alice B.
Holoubek and Dr. Joe E. Holou-bek.
Speaking at the program are
Dr. Clarence H. Webb, clinical
professor ot pediatrics at the
medical school; Dr. William W.
Frye, special assistant to tne
president ot Texas Teen Univer-sity
and interim dean of tne
School of Medicine, LUBBOCK,
Tex.; Dr. William H. Stewart,

Dr. Hull's wile.
Dr. George R. Meneely, as-sociate
dean of the scnool will
preside, and Msgr. Walter E.
Walsh, pastor of St. Pius X
Catholic Church, will give the
invocation.
