Centenary College adds course
Wed., Jan. 21,1981 3-B
Abortion, sterilization and euthanasia are is-sues
which may face medical students at some
time or another.
How will they react? Decide? Cope?
In the interest of preparing medical students
for these and other questions, the department of
philosophy at Centenary College has begun a
course in medical ethics.
At 1 p.m. today, Dr. Michael Rohr of LSU
Medical Center will present a multimedia pro-gram
on organ transplants. The five-screen slide
program, "So That Others Might Live," will be
presented in the Kilpatrick Auditorium of the
R.E. Smith Building and will be open to the
public.
Also this week, Dr. Harold Chinn, also with
LSUMC, will speak on genetic engineering and
control.
For more information about the course, people
can contact Dr. L. Hughes Cox, professor of
philosophy, telephone 865-7404 in the mornings,
or 869-5246 in the afternoons.
