Berg elected to term
Dr. Rodney D. Berg of the microbiology and
immunology department at ISU Medical Center
in Shreveport has been elected to the board of the
Association for Gnotobiotics.
Gnotobiotics is the study of animals in the
absence of bacteria, fungi, virus, etc.; in other
words, germ-free animals.
The associate professor was elected to a four-year
term on the association's board.
Objectives of the organization are to foster
research and technology in gnotobiotics, dis-seminate
information about the field, and promote
unity and effectiveness among all concerned with
gnotobiology and its application.
