LSU Foundation
Shreveport businessman Donald Zadeck has been
elected to a one-year term as president of the LSU
Foundation.
The Foundation is a non-profit corporation which
solicits financial support from business and industry,
philanthropic organizations and individuals for educa-tion
programs throughout the LSU system.
Zadeck, a member of the Foundation since 1979,
served as vice president in 1980-81. He is president of
Zadeck Energy Group and formerly was chief ex-ecutive
officer of Julie Ann Textiles, Inc.
A past president of the Shreveport Chamber of
Commerce and past chairman of the Greater
Shreveport Economic Development Foundation,
Zadeck also is director of the executive committee of
the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry.
A 1950 LSU law graduate, he was appointed to the
Louisiana Board of Regents for Higher Education by
Gov. Dave Treen last month.
