Med School
Grant Noted
A $38,872 grant to aid students
at the LSU School of Medicine
in Shreveport was announced
yesterday by Dr. William T.
McElroy, associate dean.
The grant is from the Robert
Wood .Johnson Foundation in
Princeton, N.J., and is part of a
$10 million program announced
last year to assist students in all
the nation's 108 medical schools.
The grant will be used to
furnish financial assistance to
women students, students from
rural backgrounds and students
from minority groups.
Individual recipients and the
amounts they receive will be
determined by the m e d i c a l
schools.
