Continuation Funding
The National Institute on Drug
Abuse, National Institutes of Health,
has awarded $52,038 continuation fund-ing
for a research project underway in
the department of psychiatry at LSU
Medical Center in Shreveport.
The grant is fifth-year funding from
the federal agency in support of a
project entitled "Drug Abuse — Neu-robiological
Mechanisms of Morphine."
Principal investigator for the project is
James E. Smith, Ph.D., associate pro-fessor,
psychiatry.
