Papers on clinical nursing research
are being solicited for a research con-ference
scheduled March 12 by the
continuing education division of North-western
State University College of
Nursing and the Beta Chi chapter of
Sigma Theta Tau.
Nurses are being asked to submit
abstracts of research, completed or still
under way, for presentation at thp con-ference,
which is titled "Issues in the
Health Care of Women."
The planning committee seeks a vari-ety
of papers that will be of interest to
clinicians, academicians, theoreticians
medical
beat
and administrators, said Dr. Phyllis N.
Stern, program chairman.
"Projects that deal with expanded
families, cultural sensitivity, ethical is-sues,
single parents, and contemporary
family forms are a sample of the type of
papers sought," she said. "We are par-ticularly
interested in those that have
direct implications for patient care."
It does not matter if an abstract or a
study has already been presented
before another group, Dr. Stern said.
Deadline for submitting the papers is
Dec. 15. A committee will decide which
are to be presented at the conference
and will announce its decisions on Jan.
15.
