PRE-MED MEETING HELD — About 180 college and
high school students from across Louisiana attended a "pre-med"
convention at the LSU Union Saturday. The meeting,
sponsored by Alpha Epsilon Delta, the honorary pre-med
society, was held to acquaint students with the require-ments
for entry to medical school and to let them know what
medical school is like. Speakers included, from left, Dr.
Robert L. Simmons, assistant dean of the LSU Medical
School, New Orleans, and Dr. William T. McElroy, assistant
dean of student affairs and records, LSU Medical School,
Shreveport. Also participating were Dr. Maurice M. Vick,
campus sponsor of AED, and John Fraiche, right, AED
