Local Doctors
Will Be Cited
For Service
Three Shreveport doctors will
be recognized for 50 years of
medical service at the 91st
annual meeting of the Louisiana
Medical Society in New Orleans
May 2-4.
The men are Dr. E d g a r
Galloway, director of Confeder-ate
Memorial Medical Center;
Dr. Peachy R. Gilmev and
Charles Haygood Potts. A fourth
physician, the late Dr. Harold J.
Quinn, who died earlier this
• ear, will also be honored.
Dr. Ike Muslow, educational
director for Willis-Knighton Me-morial
Hospital, will be a
member of a panel on throm-boembolism.
Louisiana S t a t e University
School of Medicine in Shreye-
Dorl will share gifts totaling
$17,000 with Tulane University
School of Medicine and the LSU
School of Medicine in New
Orleans.
The gifts represent contribu-tions
by State Medical Society
members and their wives to the
American Medical Association
Educational and R e s e a r c h
Foundation.
