Med Student
Gets $1,200
Scholarship
William E. Haley of Baton
Rouge, sophomore at Louisiana
State University Medical School
in Shreveport, has received a
$1,200 summer grant from the
Kidney Foundation of Louisiana.
He will study the hypertension
mechanism associated with the
kidneys.
Haley was sponsored in the
grant by Dr. Guilfoid G. Ru-dolph,
professor of biochemistry
and molecular biology at the
school.
He is one of five medical
students in the state to receive a
grant.
Last year he was given
the Medical School Honor Stu-dent
Award for academic hon-ors.
Haley is the son of W. W.
Haley and Mrs. P. V. Anderson,
both of Baton Rouge.
