Visiting medical staff offi-cers
at Confederate Memorial
Medical Center have been
elected to one-year terms to
begin on July 1.
The new officers are — Dr.
Donald E. Texada, clinical
assistant professor of optham-ology
at Louisiana State Uni-v
e r s i t y Medical School in
Shreveport, president; D r.
James H. Eddy Jr., clinical
associate professor of sur-gery,
president-elect; and Dr.
Paul Winder, clinical associ-ate
professor of medicine and
chief of the dermatology sec-tion,
vice president.
Executive committee mem-bers-
at-large for the coming
year will be Dr. H. Whitney
Boggs Jr., clinical assistant
p r o f e s s o r of surgery; Dr.
Albert Smith, chief of the
pathology dpartment; and Dr.
William R. Giddens, clinical
assistant professor of med-icine.
DR. TEXADA and Dr.
Giddens served as president-elect
and president, respec-tively,
during the last year.
