Names Four
For Progam
Four students at Louisiana
State University Medical School
at Shreveport, have been select-ed
for the U.S. Army's Senior
Medical Program according to
Dr. W. T. McElroy, associate
dean in charge of s t u d e n t
affairs.
The students are Frank Pete
Brinkman III of Jacksonville,
Tex., Mchael D. Cox of Baton
Rouge; James Michael Geiger
of Alexandria, and Robert E.
Harper of Ringgold, all seniors.
Selection for the program is
made in nationwide competition
and all four of the local medical
students who applied were se-lected,
McErloy said.
Participants are selected on
the basis of past performance,
grades and recommendations
from the school, Brinkman
said.
The students will be paid as
first lieutenants in t h e Army
during their senior ear in school
Brinkman explained.
