Louisiana State University
Medical Center here has ap-pointed
an associate librarian
,to direct the reference and
circulation departments and
assist in establishing the new
library.
The new associate librarian
is Ronald Sommer, who has
been serving as assocaite
librarian in charge of the
Graduate Education System
Libraries at the University of
Florida.
Sommer received his B.S.
degree in English at Florida
State University in 1959, where
he also did graduate work in
history and government, and
received his master's degree in
library science.
He has worked as a school
librarian with the New York
public library system, was a
graduate assistant, at Florida
Slate University library, and
served as a reference librarian
at the University of Florida's
engineering and physics li-brary.
